The ANSSI has signed two mutual certificate recognition agreements :

European mutual recognition agreement: SOG-IS

SOG-IS European recognition agreement dated 2010 enables the certificates recognition between the signatory states of certificates issued by their certification body. This agreement supersedes the 1999 SOG-IS recognition agreement.

For the moment, only the "smart cards and similar devices" technical domain is concerned by this agrement for the high level of recognition (beyond CC-EAL4 and ITSEC-E3). The technical domain "Point of Interaction" is under creation. For the other technical domains, the recognition applies up CC-EAL4 or ITSEC-E3.

Certificates recognised within the scope of this agreement are issued with the following mark:

The signatory countries of the agreement who issue certificates and their certification bodies are:

The signatory countries of the agreement that do not issue certificates are: Austria, Finland, Italy, Norway, Spain and Sweden.

Common Criteria Mutual Recognition Arrangement: CC-MRA

The Common Criteria Mutual Recognition Arrangement enables the recognition, by the signatory countries of the agreement, of certificates issued within the scope of Common Criteria certification frameworks. Mutual recognition applies up to evaluation level EAL4 and to the family ALC_FLR. Certificates recognised within the scope of this agreement are issued with the following mark:
