ANSSI attends the Slovenian cyber conference

ANSSI’s general director, Guillaume Poupard, will attend the Slovenian cybersecurity conference, in the wings of the Bled strategic Forum, on September 3rd to express the agency’s support in regards of the European Union Council Slovenian presidency. France’s presidency will follow and start on January 1st, 2022.

Faced with an increasing cyber threat, in the past years, the European Union has developed an important regulatory framework to face the level of threat, meet the challenges ahead in the area of cyber security and strengthen the EU resilience with the NIS directive, the Cybersecurity Act and EU Competence Center. Thus, making significant progress on the NIS directive negotiations, already started by Portugal and Slovenia this year, and toward more secure EU institutions will be one of ANSSI’s focal points during the French presidency of the EU.

France will also trigger a dialogue on solidarity and mutual assistance in case of a large-scale incidents at the EU level, from the technical level to the political one, notably through the organization of a a high-level political discussion involving the CyCLONe and CSIRT NW.
