The Munich Cyber Security Conference (MSC) 2024 took place from February 15 to 16, 2024 at the Chamber of commerce in Munich. For ten years, this event has been assembling senior decision-makers and thought-leaders from around the world to discuss and debate pressing international cybersecurity issues.

Connected objects were one of the topics on the program. Connected devices are now a part of our daily lives. They are affected by critical vulnerabilities, often lack regular technical supervision and adequate configuration.

Invited to the "IoT Security and Standardization" round table, Vincent Strubel shared the Agency's views on criminal and state-sponsored cyber threats in the IoT sector. He also highlighted the developments in security and resilience for connected objects that Europe is preparing for with the Cyber Resilience Act and the NIS 2 directive.

In the margins of this event, the Director General met with several of his counterparts to discuss ways to further on-going cooperation efforts.
