Head of the Cyber Anticipation Unit
Pierre Laurent graduated from Saint-Cyr military academy. He spent most of his career in the field of operations, in France and abroad —particularly in Germany— where was the commanding officer of an armoured cavalry regiment.
From 2012 to 2014, he also served at the Ministry of the Interior as the defence advisor to the Director General of the National Gendarmerie. In 2012, he audited courses at the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome, at the Center for Higher Studies of the Ministry of the Interior and at the National Institute for Higher Studies of Security and Justice. He then took on the responsibilities in the field of the Homeland defence and security Operations within the General Staff, Joint Planning and Operations Headquarters in 2015. He joined ANSSI in August 2017 as an advisor and Head of the Cyber Anticipation Unit.
He is married with four children.
